There could have been good objectivity placed in this story had the
flip side been a rant against Whites and perhaps other races who equally
disrespect Asians
Instead of that it's a one sided rant against one race when there is
plenty of blame to pass around on both Whites and Blacks alike. Not to
mention Whites had quite a headstart on their objectifying and
brutalizing of Asians. Remember the mass killings of Filipinos, who were
referred to as "Goo-Goos and "NIggers." by "Good Ole Boy" riflemen from
the U-S of A? Those killings included women and children. What about
the terrorizing and killing of Asian fisherman to challenge the economic
threat they posed in the American south ? Let's not forget that whole
railroad thing. The foreign exchange student shot to death by a White
armed with a gun and rabid xenophobia who was aquitted? The countless
Asian youth who are set upon by White racist gangs throughout Canada and
the United Kingdom? The closet racist Whites who date/marry Asian women
and then treat them like bar girls. I am not saying all but we all know
a signifigant number are in it for the "me so horny games" they want to
play with Asian women. Blah-you get the point. Then again purposeful
blindness is one of the the greatests tools of the practicing racist.
An asshole is an asshole. A criminal asshole deserves to be dealt with
by the law. If that criminal asshole is dealt with by his victims or
supporters of them, well, shit happens. I believe one should consider such
things before action. After that there are only the consequences to
swallow. I don't believe in the ultra-racialist mentality that excuses
criminal assholes OF ANY RACE for destructive behaviour that harms
others. It's a thin line though. By making it a matter of race instead
of the criminal offense and how it should be handled the author of this
post has reduced himself to the very level of those he rails against.
How can one wallow in shit and expect to come up smelling like roses?
I see the trend here and everywhere that seeks so strongly to demonize
one race for a myriad of society's ills, and problems. A twist on it in
this group seems to be a dedicated group of a few posters who have some
seeming mission to permeate the souls of an Asian newsgroup with hatred
for Black people. People who more than often are not here to defend
themselves from the bile spewed forth. That's rather classless. This from
so called intelligent people is what is frightening. I know Blacks and
Asians aren't exactly buddies but even an idiot should recognize a
classic example of "further divide and conquer" when they see it. It's
funny how we lose our common sense when bigotry and hatred consume us.
If you throw a blanket indictment over an entire race of people all it
takes is ONE member of that race to disprove your racist argument that
all of them are criminals,rapists,whores,gentrification
annihilators,ect. It's a copout.
The (insert race) person up the street, down the block, the office
over, did nothing to you. They get up everyday and go to work just like
you do. They pay their taxes and strive for a better life just like you
do. They have good days and bad days just like you do. Yet your weakness
causes you to throw them in the same categories as career criminals and
dregs of society. That's a symptom of ills yet undiagnosed,or (maybe
they are) that have nothing to do with one race of people. If one group
of people have the ability to inspire and foster such hatred in us it
says more about our own lack of self-control than we should be
interested in admitting.
We're all living in an episode of "The Twilight Zone." In this episode
we are the masters of Earth. We are smug and confident in our abilities
and fortunes. The greed and hatred that torches our souls at least keeps
us warm. Every day brings new hope and promise.
Global warming? Hardly. The microscopic slide the Earth has been under
for eons moves a little everyday. It moves closer and closer to the
bunsen burner of those who created and harvested us, first for study and
now, amusement. Bored with our ridiculous and spastic antics, our destiny
to embrace the flames is upon us. We will return from where we came,
dust and matter to be dispersed throughout and beyond,"The Twilight
Zone."
Couldn't happen to a nicer group of people.
