Hello...Just look, really look at Richard Gere. It's in his eyes. No one knows I'm 1/4 Asian unless I don't wear my prescription glasses, or when I first wake up in the morning and can see my eyes. Yes, we are a 1/4 and other cultures. Everyone is pretty much mixed with another culture unless your parents are White. The world I live in is mixed with gazillion other races, all living together in the US. I don't tell others because it's none of their business, and two because it's my silent heritage that has given me beautiful skin, small pores, and sultry, exotic eyes. I then have beautiful high cheek bones of Cherokee, and long legs, with small narrow feet. Richard Gere is like so many of us in the world, confident, secure of who they are, strong, and living life as an actor in front of the big screen.I congratulate him on keeping his heritage a quiet secret.

"...agreed, R. Gere is a gifted and talented actor. I so enjoyed him in the movie Pretty Woman, Red Corner, Hatachi, and Shall we Dance." Tremendous actor with a wealth of talent. It's too bad that he can't quite share the spotlight with others without taking offense or having to be the only person receiving the recognition. Think Cindy Crawford's modeling days; an interview done of him walking in and touting her skill as a model as nothing important.
